Karmann Ghia spotted… tempted

My friend Ben, always on the look out for another project for me, told me of a white Karmann Ghia he’d spotted by the side of the road. I’ve always hankered after another one every since I had to sell mine when heading to the US. I’ve also got first-dibs on a rather special engine that I need a host for, so this seemed perfect.

A ’67 just like my last one so probably a 1500, this is a bit of a mess, I left a note on it and the owner got back to me. It runs but he’s had problems with the ignition switch. Obviously off the road.

I’m sorely tempted, but there is another project that I have my eye on that could come to fruition any day, so for now I think I’ll pass…  if only I had somewhere to tuck it away for later…
